Attention all Atheletes: All 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders who are interested in playing flag football and 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball - Sign ups are in the office lobby now and are due back to the office by this Friday.

"All Call" message from 8/15/10
It's certainly hard to believe that school will start next week - but here we are! I just wanted to take a moment to update everyone on a few things that may impact "normal" operations during the first weeks of school:
Construction - Our General Contractor assures us that the front of the school will be ready by the first day of school. There will, however, be a few areas on campus that will still be fenced off. The front door to the gym, the 6th Grade eating area, and an area between the library and the district office will all be fenced off for about two weeks. We do not expect these areas to affect drop-off or pick up of students.
Drop off - Both the front of the school and the east parking lot will be available for drop off.
Pick up- The former bus circle will now be open as a CARPOOL ONLY pick-up area. The east parking lot will be available as in the past. Please remember to make RIGHT HAND TURN ONLY out of either the carpool lane, or the east parking lot.
Lockers - One of our summer projects was to upgrade the locker room so that each student could have his/her OWN locker. The lockers have been on "backorder" for most of the summer, however we expect to have them installed by the second week of school.
The Track - Our worn-out old track was upgraded over the summer with improved drainage, a new border, and upgraded surface material. We look forward to getting kids on it when school starts.
Planners - will be available at a table on the yard Monday at 8:30AM. Planners are $8.00.

Good Evening, this is Adam Schaible calling from Willowside Middle School. On behalf of the entire staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school. Everyone here is very excited about meeting our new students. NEW STUDENT orientation for 7th Graders will begin at 10AM tomorrow and will be over by 11:30. This short presentation about the first days of school is intended for new students and their parents. Returning students need not attend. The construction out in front of the school is in it's final days, however tomorrow workers will still be on site. Because of this, we ask that you park on Hall Rd and enter the via the east entrance. We will have student volunteers stationed to give directions should you have trouble finding the gym entrance. Returning students can purchase a planner on the first day of school for $8. If you missed any portion of this message the information is available at our Website - www.ogusd.org

Good Evening, this is Adam Schaible calling from Willowside Middle School. On behalf of the entire staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school. Everyone here is very excited about meeting our new students. 6th Grade orientation will begin at 9AM tomorrow. 9 - 11 is for students only, parents we hope that you will be able to join us from 11 - 12 for a short presentation about the first days of school. The construction out in front of the school is in it's final days, however tomorrow workers will still be on site. Because of this, we ask that you drop your student off on Hall Rd. We will have teachers and 8th Grade students out front to gather and escort students into the gym. When you return for the parent portion of the event, you will need to park along Hall Rd.
