Oak Grove is a small school district located 60 miles north of San Francisco and 15 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. We are located on the western edge of Santa Rosa and continuing west to include the town of Graton. Our neighboring communities are Sebastopol, Forestville, and Occidental. The district has two schools. The Oak Grove School is a K-5 elementary school nestled in the oaks above the town of Graton. The school is renowned for its caring and nurturing environment as well as its award winning environmental education programs. The school consistently scores above 800 in the state STAR test and is ranked a 10 out of 10 when compared with other schools with similar demographics. Willowside Middle School is a converted charter school serving students in grades 6-8. The school is located on the western edge of Santa Rosa amidst oak woodlands and vineyards. The school is known for its rigorous academic programs, a multitude of clubs and activities for young adolescents to explore and a small student population increasing the personal connection of the student to the school community. The school scores above 800 in the stat STAR test and is ranked 7 out of 10 when compared with other similar schools. Each year there is a waiting list of students seeking admission to the school. |
